Minimum requirements:
- Substitute Special Education Paraprofessional:
High School Diploma or Equivalent, SPED License OR Substitute Teaching License, Must be able to pass a background check. - Substitute General Paraprofessional:
High School Diploma or Equivalent, No license is required, Must be able to pass a background check.
Pay rates:
Substitute Paraprofessional: $16/hour

Paraprofessional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
- Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.
Substitute aides may also be referred to as paraprofessionals, education technicians, teacher aides, instructional assistants, classroom assistants or education assistants.
