Position Title:

Instructor of Practice – Finance – REAL 4120 – Part‑Time, Fall 2026.

Position Overview

Prepare and teach 1 section of REAL 4120 – Cases in Commercial Real Estate, 3 credits.

Course description:
The course focuses on the applied analysis of commercial real estate. Students apply conceptual real estate knowledge to Harvard Business School and Milwaukee Area case studies. The curriculum emphasizes analysis for purchase, development, or financing across major real estate investment sub‑areas (apartments, office, retail, and warehouse/distribution). Knowledge from required finance, marketing, real estate, accounting, and other business and economics courses is used to analyze the cases.

and Responsibilities

Prepare a well‑organized syllabus and teaching plan that clearly reflects the course objectives and expectations. Conduct well‑prepared class sessions that effectively deliver the course content and engage students. Administer meaningful and relevant assignments and grade students’ work with an emphasis on student development.

Required Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Master’s Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.

Preferred Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Teaching experience in the relevant area at the university level or professional training experience strongly preferred.
