Overview
Test Proctoring Coordinator, Disability Services coordinates and executes proctored tests for students with testing accommodations. The role involves securing appropriate resources (staffing, space and materials) to proctor assessments throughout the academic year, with increased activity during mid-term and final exam periods.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and execute proctored tests in support of testing accommodations (including scheduling, gathering test materials, administering the test, and returning test materials to the course instructor)
- Supervise graduate-level student workers who support the proctoring process
- Collaborate with campus partners to educate them on unit processes and solicit feedback for operational improvements
- Support the ODS Director with purchasing, invoice processing, and basic budget maintenance
- Maintain test proctoring space (organization, stocking of materials, and appropriate furniture placement for proctoring tests)
- Hire, train, and manage the ODS Testing graduate student workers to support testing center operations
- Problem solve to secure resources for surge times and address issues arising when unit procedures are not followed
Skills and Abilities
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years’ experience managing specific operations within an office or organizational unit
- Strong critical thinking, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to manage time and multiple, disparate responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to relate diplomatically with students, parents, faculty and staff
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Communications or related field
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity working with emerging adults in an educational setting
- Experience working with individuals with disabling conditions
- Experience developing, evaluating, and improving workplace processes
- Experience building and maintaining working relationships with business partners
