Preschool Academy has 3 locations next door to each other located at Milwaukee Midtown. Location 1 is for children 3-4 years old, location 2 is for Infants to 2 years old, Location 3 is our School Age building for those 5 years and older. Our Main Location is 4162 N 56th St Milwaukee WI 53216

Preschool Academy LLC is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team. Job Overview:

As a Lead Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the minds of our preschool students. You will lead a classroom of children, creating engaging lesson plans and implementing curriculum that supports their holistic development. You will work closely with our team of educators, parents, and administrators to ensure a safe, inclusive, and enriching educational experience for all.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with our curriculum and educational standards.

• Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child.

• Conduct daily activities and instructional sessions, including circle time, arts and crafts, storytelling, and outdoor play.

• Assess and monitor each student’s progress and provide constructive feedback to parents and guardians through regular communication.

• Collaborate with fellow teachers to plan and coordinate activities, events, and special programs.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

• Be a role model for children, promoting positive behavior, kindness, and respect.

• Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required.

Requirements:

• A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a Level 5 on the WI Registry.

• Proven experience as a Lead Teacher or a similar role in a preschool setting.

• Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.

• Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure effective planning and execution of lessons.

• Patience, creativity, and flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each child.

• Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for children of diverse backgrounds and abilities.

• Familiarity with local and state licensing requirements for preschools.

• A passion for teaching and a genuine love for working with young children.
