Part‑Time Nursing Instructor - Milwaukee or Pleasant Prairie Campus
The College of Nursing invites candidates with classroom or clinical expertise and strong teaching skills to submit applications for a part‑time nursing instructor position. The position requires excellence in teaching and strong communication and collaboration skills. This faculty role includes assessment, implementation, coordination and evaluation of course curriculum; development, implementation and coordination of learning resources; continual monitoring of participant progress; and collaboration with other stakeholders, disciplines and departments internal and external to Marquette University.
In addition, faculty will also promote the values, mission and vision of Marquette University.
- Commitment to continued development of excellence in teaching and service.
- Ability to direct and lead students effectively, communicating with faculty and administration.
- Provide leadership in improving and sustaining the quality and effectiveness of the curriculum.
- Provide direct supervision of nursing students in clinical sites or classroom settings.
Skills and Abilities
Master’s degree in nursing, eligibility for Wisconsin licensure. Demonstrates potential for teaching excellence and service. The candidate should be forward thinking and committed to preparing the next generation of nurses for excellence in practice.
Preferred Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
Previous teaching experience in nursing preferred.
