** The Administrative Leadership program is housed in the Department of Educational Psychology. The Administrative Leadership program develops the education field’s next generation of change-makers in educational settings, including elementary, secondary and post-secondary programs, as well as in non-profit, governmental, and industry settings.

The Department of Educational Psychology is hiring a Core Teaching Faculty position to contribute to Administrative Leadership program through teaching and program coordination. This position will primarily work with the Adult, Continuing, and Higher Education concentration, the only master’s program at UWM tailored for a rewarding career in higher education and student affairs administration, and leadership in adult learning.

This is a 9-month position with potential for summer teaching as available.

The successful candidate will (1) teach graduate level courses on organizational leadership and higher education administration, (2) serve as a core faculty member and attend department and program-related functions (e.g., program faculty meetings), and (3) provide administrative service to the program. We are also seeking candidates with an interest in contributing to an EdD program in Organizational Leadership. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in graduate level teaching and program administration.

Job Responsibilities:

*** Supervises the day-to-day activities of work unit employees involved in instructional support as needed
* Provides classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction, including grading
* Assists in defining the objectives of the program and plays a major role in carrying out program duties
* Develops teaching techniques that enhance course effectiveness in alignment with desired outcomes and established strategy and trains faculty and other instructional staff in use of said instructional techniques and programs
* May administer budget and personnel for instructional grants and programs
* Assesses learner performance and prepares reports recommending instructional improvements
* Develops grant proposals for instructional development and may serve as principal or co-principal investigator on grants to develop new teaching methods in the discipline
* Designs curriculum and/or techniques for instruction in a disciplinary area and suggests new ways of effective instruction in courses within that discipline
* Presents evaluations of teaching methods and techniques to those in the institution and elsewhere##
