Under the direction of the Dean of Community Education this position collaborates in the general operations of Dual Enrollment team, Community Education programs including Integrated Education & Training (IET), Adult High School (AHS), GED, and HSED programs. Additionally, each Associate Dean may provide an oversight role in one or more of Community Education Hub's operations. An emphasis of this position is for the direct support for high school programs, dual enrollment and dual credit, and transitions from community education programs into the college's seven (7) major pathways.

Finally, the Associate Dean will provide a support role (to the dean) in the oversight of all grants related to supporting Community Education. The Associate Dean is an innovative learning leader who works collaboratively with faculty, staff, and other administrators in developing and sustaining high quality academic programs to ensure student success. They will encourage and foster a culture of inquiry about student learning in support of various college strategic initiatives, works in collaboration with District-wide administration, as well as community partners to align programs to college traditional technical and transfer programs.

The Associate Dean will collaborate with the Dean in the planning, directing, and evaluating all assigned functions associated with maintaining and delivering quality academic programs.

Compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards/requirements, as well as all MATC policies and procedures. Required Education Minimums:
Must meet ALL required education and experience minimums listed below.

  • A master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in one of the programs in Community Education or General Education with an emphasis in teaching and learning training and/or education.
  • Required Occupational Experience Minimums: must meet ALL of the requirements listed below.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in the K12 and/or college instructional administration/supervision
  • The equivalent of 2 (two) years of full-time teaching
  • At least one (1) year involved in direct supervision of student services programs in K-12 or higher education.
  • At least one (1) year involved in direct supervision of faculty in teaching roles (may also include apprenticeships, clinical sites, continuing education, or lab-based instruction)
  • At least three (3) years of staff supervision or one (1) year of staff supervision combined with an Emerging Leaders (internal MATC program) completion equivalency.

This position supports the Community Education Division and is available to start as soon as possible. This position requires 40 hours per week, 100% on site/in person at our downtown Milwaukee Campus. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, generally between the hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm. Employees will conduct all work hours in the State of Wisconsin, performing work outside the state is strictly prohibited.

Salary is listed to the midpoint of the range and placement is determined based on years of experience, internal salary equity, and a review of the applicant's employment and educational background as listed on the fully completed job application.
