Adult, Continuing, and Higher Education Administration Teaching Faculty

Position Summary

The Administrative Leadership program, housed in the Department of Educational Psychology, seeks a Core Teaching Faculty member to contribute primarily to the Adult, Continuing, and Higher Education concentration. This 9‑month position focuses on graduate‑level teaching, program coordination, and support for the EdD program in Organizational Leadership. Anticipated start date is January 2027.

• Teach graduate‑level courses on organizational leadership and higher education administration.
• Serve as a core faculty member and attend department and program‑related functions, such as faculty meetings.
• Provide administrative service to the program, including advising students and coordinating program activities.
• Contribute to the EdD program in Organizational Leadership, including curriculum development and student mentorship.
• Supervise day‑to‑day activities of instructional support staff as needed.
• Deliver classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction, including grading.
• Assist in defining program objectives, carrying out program duties, and designing curriculum and instructional techniques.
• Develop and implement teaching techniques that enhance course effectiveness, support learning outcomes, and align with institutional strategy.
• Administer budgets and personnel for instructional grants and programs when required.
• Assess learner performance and prepare reports recommending instructional improvements.
• Develop grant proposals for instructional development and serve as principal or co‑principal investigator on grants to advance new teaching methods.
• Present evaluations of teaching methods and techniques to institutional stakeholders and external audiences.

• Hold an Ed.D. or Ph.D. in higher education, student affairs, adult education, or a closely related field from an accredited institution by the time of application.
• Demonstrated ability to teach online graduate‑level courses in higher education, including familiarity with high‑impact practices for online instruction.

• Experience in program administration and coordination, preferably in a higher education setting.
• Experience working with diverse student populations and a demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion through teaching, research, and/or service.
• Experience advising graduate students, including masters and doctoral candidates, and serving on doctoral project committees.

The target hiring range is $65,000–$70,000 on a 9‑month academic‑year basis.
