Job ProfileTeaching Faculty III – Core Faculty in the Administrative Leadership Program
OverviewThe Administrative Leadership program, housed in the Department of Educational Psychology, develops the next generation of leaders in educational settings. This role contributes through teaching and program coordination in the Adult, Continuing, and Higher Education concentration.
Key Responsibilities- Teach graduate-level courses on organizational leadership and higher education administration.
- Serve as a core faculty member and attend departmental and program-related functions.
- Provide administrative service to the program, including coordinating program operations.
- Assist in defining program objectives and carrying out program duties.
- Develop teaching techniques that enhance course effectiveness and align with desired outcomes.
- Train faculty and other instructional staff in instructional techniques and programs.
- Administer budget and personnel for instructional grants and programs.
- Assess learner performance and prepare reports recommending instructional improvements.
- Develop grant proposals for instructional development and may serve as principal or co‑principal investigator on grants.
- Design curriculum and instructional techniques for the discipline, suggesting new ways to enhance instruction in courses.
- Present evaluations of teaching methods and techniques to colleagues and external audiences.
- Hold an Ed.D. or Ph.D. in higher education, student affairs, adult education, or a closely related field from an accredited institution by the time of application.
- Demonstrated ability to teach online graduate-level courses in the field of higher education, including familiarity with high‑impact practices for teaching online courses.
- Experience in program administration and coordination, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion through teaching, research, and/or service.
- Experience working with graduate students at the master’s and doctoral levels, including advising master’s students and doctoral candidates, and serving on doctoral project committees.
Target hiring range: $65,000–$70,000 on a 9‑month academic year basis.
