Marquette University Educational Opportunity Program (EOP ) College

Bound Scholars is seeking dynamic, mission‑driven part‑time instructors

to teach a variety of enrichment and academic advancement courses to

high school students enrolled in our federally and state‑funded

pre‑college programs. These programs are designed to support

first‑generation, college‑bound students with academic preparation,

personal development, and college and career readiness. We are currently

recruiting instructors for fall 2026 programming, which will run from

September 14 through December 19, 2026. Duties and Responsibilities

Pre‑College instructional positions require committed, adaptable

Individuals Who Are Passionate About Empowering Youth And Creating

engaging learning environments. As a part‑time instructor, you will play

a vital role in shaping the academic and personal development of

First‑generation And College-bound Students. Core Responsibilities

Design and deliver engaging, student‑centered lessons aligned with

assigned subject matter (e.g., STEAM , English, ACT Prep, Foreign

Language, etc.). Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom

culture that supports student voice, curiosity, and collaboration.

Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and skill

levels of high school students. Use culturally responsive teaching

strategies to connect learning content with students  real‑life

experiences and aspirations. Monitor student participation, provide

feedback, and track attendance and academic progress as required.

Communicate regularly with EOP staff regarding student concerns,

instructional needs, or program updates. Contribute to a dynamic team

culture by participating in planning meetings, training sessions

evening events, and occasional Saturday enrichment activities. Serve as

a positive, enthusiastic mentor and role model, promoting leadership,

self‑advocacy, and college‑going Behaviors.

Required Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Bachelor s degree and prior teaching experience in respective discipline and related experience with student or community groups that address issues affecting low-income and minority populations.

Precollege positions require a strong interest in Interdisciplinary Curriculum.

Preferred Knowledge,

Skills And Abilities

Master's Degree preferred.
