Position OverviewThe Department of Chemistry has a part‑time, one-semester visiting assistant professor
position for the Fall 2026 semester. The assignment will be to teach a course in physical chemistry to both graduate and undergraduate students.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide instruction in physical chemistry ( CHEM 5433/4433) during the fall semester.
Prepare all lectures and assignments. Oversee all aspects of the course, including course and syllabus preparation, grading exams and papers. Must maintain a minimum of three office hours per week.
Required Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
Earned doctorate or a terminal degree. Two years of teaching experience or other suitable professional experience.
Preferred Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
Teaching experience at the university level.
