The Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) Teacher is responsible for providing targeted instructional interventions in reading and/or math. The MTSS Teacher works collaboratively with classroom teachers, school administrators, and network staff to design and implement intervention plans that meet the diverse needs of students in a K-8 setting.
Key Responsibilities Assessment and Identification (conducted with the lead of the MTSS Coordinator and Senior Director of Curriculum and Instructional Effectiveness)- Conduct screening assessments to identify students in need of additional academic support.
- Analyze data from assessments and classroom performance to determine students' specific needs.
- Monitor student progress through frequent formative assessments and adjust interventions as necessary.
- In collaboration with the academic team, develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on students' specific needs.
- Provide direct instruction to small groups or individual students in areas such as reading, mathematics, and other core subjects.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate interventions into the regular classroom setting when possible.
- Work closely with classroom teachers, network staff, and school administrators to support student learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress and strategies to support learning at home.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, intervention plans, and assessment data.
- Stay current with best practices and research in the field of MTSS and instructional interventions.
- Participate in and lead professional development opportunities related to MTSS, differentiated instruction for teachers.

- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field required.
- Master's degree in Education, Special Education, Reading, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience.
- Experience with MTSS processes and implementing academic interventions preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of educators and support staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software for assessment and instruction.
