POSITION MISSION

Ensure that PEAK teens and Leaders in Training (LTs) have the awareness, confidence, skills, and tools they need to reach their full potential by implementing the successful design and delivery of discovery, experience, and project-based programs that integrate with, and support a model of continual, year-round learning.

REPORTING AND RELATIONSHIPS

The Teen Programs Coordinator reports to the Leaders in Training Programs Manager and works collaboratively with other program and administrative staff.

POSITION AVAILABILITY

The Teen Programs Coordinator is a full-time exempt position with a schedule which regularly includes weekend and evening hours and four overnight trips a year.

BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY
  • Under the guidance of the Leaders in Training Programs Manager, develop Milwaukee-based programming for our participants grades 9-12.
  • Serve as lead facilitator for high school programs, workshops, and leadership labs, ensuring progression from year to year and season to season.
  • Support the preparation, design, and execution of programs, retreats, and events, including curriculum review, logistics, materials assembly, LT & guardian communications, etc.
  • Support the Leaders in Training internship program year-round and serve as the intern lead in Milwaukee Camps in the summer.
  • Serve as main facilitator for Teen participant recruitment activities.
  • Coordinate activities and reservations with community partners.
  • Attend specialized overnight trips and expeditions including Mindful Me, College Service & Learning Tour, Senior Trip, and Travel Camp.
  • Transport participants in PEAK vehicles.
  • Serve as an integral member of the summer Day Camp leadership team, specifically through LT intern support and guidance.
