Job DescriptionThe Adult Education Navigator supports W-2 participants in accessing educational opportunities that enhance employability and self-sufficiency. This role guides individuals through education planning, transcript reviews, and enrollment in programs such as HSD/GED/HSED, ESL, and job skills training, ensuring participants have the resources needed to complete their education and transition into the workforce.
- Assist W-2 participants in identifying and enrolling in appropriate educational programs including HSD/GED/HSED, ESL, and vocational training.
- Conduct transcript reviews and assess educational history to determine eligibility and placement.
- Develop individualized education plans aligned with employment and self-sufficiency goals.
- Connect participants with community education providers and support services.
- Monitor progress and provide ongoing support to ensure program completion and workforce readiness.
- Collaborate with FEPs and other staff to integrate education goals into the W-2 Individual Employment Plan (IEP).
- Maintain accurate documentation of educational activities, progress, and outcomes.
- Stay informed about local education resources, program requirements, and funding opportunities.
- Uphold confidentiality and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and program regulations.
- Associate's degree in education, Human Services, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in adult education, workforce development, or case management.
- Knowledge of GED/HSED, ESL, and vocational training programs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience working with W-2 participants or similar populations.
- Familiarity with local education providers and funding sources.
- Bilingual (Spanish or Hmong) a plus.
