MSOE invites applications for a full-time Learning Experience Designer
- Emerging Technologies to join our CREATE Institute team. The Learning Experience Designer
- Emerging Technologies leads the exploration, integration, and promotion of emerging technologies across MSOE’s academic curricula. This role supports faculty in adopting digital tools and pedagogical approaches that enhance student learning, engagement, and accessibility. Furthermore, this position plays a critical role in transforming teaching and learning by ensuring MSOE remains at the forefront of technological innovation. This role serves as a strategic partner in aligning educational technology initiatives with the CREATE Institute’s mission to advance teaching and learning through collaborative practice, holistically furthering the MSOE Mindset.

• Identify, evaluate, and pilot emerging technologies (e.g., AI tools, AR/VR, adaptive learning platforms, learning analytics, digital collaboration tools) relevant to teaching and learning.
• Partner with academic departments and IT to continuously improve procedures for integrating emerging technologies into departmental curricula and resources.
• Monitor trends and best practices in emerging technologies and translate them into actionable initiatives that enhance and improve the student learning experience at MSOE.
• Develop, curate, and maintain a repository of technology-enhanced teaching and learning resources (e.g., guides, toolkits, exemplars showcasing effective use of technology for teaching and learning).
• Ensure resources are pedagogically sound, accessible, and aligned with learning outcomes and institutional initiatives.
• Contribute to the evaluation of the effectiveness of technology integration initiatives using qualitative and quantitative measures.

• Design, deliver, and assess workshops and other professional development opportunities that support faculty integration of emerging technologies into their teaching practices.
