Job DescriptionThe Engineering Manager at WITI‑TV Fox 6 in Milwaukee leads daily operations of the engineering department, mentors a team of four engineers, and oversees projects that align with business objectives and broadcast technology innovation.

- Deep technical expertise in broadcast technologies, including RF systems, IP networking, and digital video/audio tech
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills, presenting complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
- Innovative mindset, driving innovation and implementing new technologies
- 5+ years in broadcast technology, with ≥3 years in a leadership role preferred
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in broadcasting, electronics, computer science, or related field, preferred
- Experience with transmission systems, studio production systems, control room automation, graphics platforms, and master control operations
- Strong understanding of IP‑based video/audio workflows, networking protocols, and cybersecurity best practices
- Familiarity with newsroom computer systems, media asset management systems, HDR and SMPTE 2110 standards
- Experience supporting live remote broadcasts using various delivery technologies
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, motivating and coaching technical staff
- Understanding of industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic facilities‑related issues (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
- Strong grasp of capital and operating budgets and procurement process
- Ability to perform under pressure in a 24/7 broadcast environment
- Experience working in a union environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel, crouch as needed
- Full‑time, regular schedule with on‑call responsibilities for emergencies
- Occasional travel to transmitter and translator locations
- Flexibility to support operations outside standard business hours when necessary

Pay range: $80,000–$90,000 annually. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
