Fox TV Stations owns and operates 29 full‑power broadcast television stations in the U.S., including 18 affiliates of the FOX Network. The stations produce roughly 1,200 hours of local news each week, distributing sports, entertainment, and syndicated content nationwide.

The Engineering Manager at WITI‑TV Fox 6 in Milwaukee leads daily operations of the engineering department, mentors a team of four engineers, and oversees projects that align with business objectives and broadcast technology innovation.

• Proven leadership in a 24/7 live news operation, serving as primary point of contact for time‑sensitive maintenance and operational issues, with on‑call availability for emergencies
• Deep technical expertise in broadcast technologies, including RF systems, IP networking, and digital video/audio tech
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions
• Excellent communication skills, presenting complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
• Innovative mindset, driving innovation and implementing new technologies

• 5+ years in broadcast technology, with ≥3 years in a leadership role preferred
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in broadcasting, electronics, computer science, or related field, preferred
• Experience with transmission systems, studio production systems, control room automation, graphics platforms, and master control operations
• Strong understanding of IP‑based video/audio workflows, networking protocols, and cybersecurity best practices
• Familiarity with newsroom computer systems, media asset management systems, HDR and SMPTE 2110 standards
• Experience supporting live remote broadcasts using various delivery technologies
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, motivating and coaching technical staff
• Understanding of industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic facilities‑related issues (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
• Strong grasp of capital and operating budgets and procurement process
• Ability to perform under pressure in a 24/7 broadcast environment
• Experience working in a union environment

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, crouch as needed

• Full‑time, regular schedule with on‑call responsibilities for emergencies
• Occasional travel to transmitter and translator locations
• Flexibility to support operations outside standard business hours when necessary

Pay range: $80,000–$90,000 annually. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
