Applications Engineer
1st Shift | Full-Time
Salary: $90,000-$120,000 per year (based on experience)
Location:
Northwest Milwaukee, WI
Our Client is seeking a full-time Applications Engineer to support sales, engineering, and project execution activities. This role combines technical design, customer support, and sales assistance, requiring the ability to manage multiple projects while delivering accurate, cost-effective water treatment solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Support sales functions including application design, troubleshooting customer questions, costing, and quotation preparation
- Design and apply water treatment equipment including water softeners, filters, reverse osmosis systems, pump skids, and related systems
- Produce engineering submittals, manuals, and technical documentation
- Generate CAD drawings (AutoCAD) for piping and equipment layouts
- Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) from engineering drawings
- Requisition parts and coordinate with vendors as needed
- Plan, budget, schedule, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Assist customers with installation, start-up, and troubleshooting of new or existing systems via phone or other communication methods
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and project files
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, customers, and vendors
- Promote teamwork and cooperation across departments
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering or related field, or equivalent engineering experience and/or training
- Associate's degree with relevant Applications Engineering experience considered
- Knowledge of process piping, piping practices, materials, and fabrication procedures
- Experience with reverse osmosis system design and operation (preferred)
- Working knowledge of 2D AutoCAD LT (2016);
AutoCAD 3D and/or Solid Works experience a plus - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
Microsoft Project experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily workloads effectively
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Positive, professional, and productive attitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- PC-literate with standard office software knowledge
