Biomedical Engineer – Electrical Manufacturing Focus

About the RoleThis is a hands‑on Manufacturing Engineering role supporting the production of complex medical equipment with embedded electrical and computer‑based systems
. The position is focused on the backend of the product lifecycle
, working closely with manufacturing, engineering, and program teams once designs move into production.
You’ll be stepping into a well‑supported environment with direct mentorship from experienced engineers and exposure to medical, electrical, and embedded technologies. This role is ideal for a Biomedical Engineer who enjoys understanding how electrical components, hardware, and systems work together in a real‑world manufacturing setting.
What You’ll Be Doing- Support day‑to‑day manufacturing operations for electrically integrated medical products
- Manage and execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
- Participate in engineering walkthroughs, production reviews, and build support
- Collaborate with Program Managers and cross‑functional engineering teams
- Support builds involving embedded computers, PC‑based systems, and electrical assemblies
- Ensure manufacturability, documentation accuracy, and process consistency
- Troubleshoot hardware‑related manufacturing issues and drive root‑cause solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering
, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline - Strong hands‑on technical curiosity — experience tinkering, building PCs, troubleshooting hardware, or working with electrical systems
- Interest in embedded systems and how hardware, electronics, and software interact
- Comfort working in a manufacturing or production‑support environment
- Exposure to medical devices or regulated manufacturing environments is a plus
- Curiosity around coding or scripting (Python or similar) is a bonus, not required
- 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred, but technical depth and mindset matter most
- Strong mentorship from experienced engineers
- Exposure to medical devices, electrical systems, and embedded computing
