Description
We are hiring immediately for a full time aircraft mechanic This role is critical to our mission, so we are offering veterans the opportunity to use your prior military aircraft maintenance experience to become a licensed A&P mechanic
Start your career at Textron Aviation in this role, and we will provide a two week prep course and pay for you to obtain your Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic certifications within 90 days of your start date
Qualifications
What you will be doing as an A & P Mechanic:
You can expect to conduct thorough inspections, maintenance, and repairs on Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft models Your responsibilities include:
* Performs a variety of mechanical duties involving diagnosis of malfunctions and required disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, or adjustment of various aircraft systems to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery to customer
* Performs turbine engine troubleshooting, inspection, repair and engine run ups
What you need to be successful:
* High school education or GED required
* Must have hours of On the Job training MOS/NEC/AFSC reviewed and evaluated by an FAA Flight Standards District Office FSDO
* Must be able to test for your Airframe and/or Powerplant ratings within 90 days of starting Why join us?

Note:
The FAA will not authorize you to test for your Airframe and/or Powerplant ratings because you served in the military You must have the required time spent working in military aircraft maintenance to be considered for this program _
This role is eligible for up to a $15,000 pre tax sign on bonus based on level of experience Terms & conditions apply The Company reserves the right to amend or suspend this program at any time
