Creation Technologies has exciting leadership opportunities for accomplished engineering professionals ready to make a meaningful impact. We are seeking experienced Directors of Engineering to lead engineering functions across multiple U.S. manufacturing sites, including Rochester, NY, Dallas, TX, and Milwaukee, WI. This is a pivotal site leadership role responsible for driving world‑class execution in the design and production of mission‑critical, high‑reliability, and advanced electronic assemblies.
As a key member of the site leadership team, you will serve as the bridge between corporate engineering strategy and site‑level execution—aligning technical resources, accelerating innovation, and delivering exceptional results for high‑tier customers. The Director of Engineering provides strategic and operational leadership across Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Test Engineering functions. This role ensures engineering excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in a complex electronics manufacturing environment serving Aerospace, Defense, and Medical customers (site‑dependent). You will lead high‑performing teams, champion best‑in‑class engineering practices, and ensure that engineering strategies directly support operational performance, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership to the engineering organization, fostering innovation, accountability, and a high‑performance culture.
- Oversee Manufacturing, Test, and Process Engineering operations to ensure quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Lead project deployments and New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives, including DFx strategies to optimize manufacturability, cost, and quality.
- Drive continuous improvement across processes, supplier relationships, and business performance.
- Ensure regulatory and customer compliance (RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, ISO, ITAR, etc.).
- Collaborate with regional and global engineering teams to align site initiatives with broader strategic objectives.
- Support key customer accounts through technical expertise and executive‑level engagement.
- Develop and manage budgets, capital expenditures, and workforce planning aligned with site and corporate goals.
- Mentor and develop engineering leaders, supporting talent acquisition, succession planning, and performance management.
- Serve as a culture ambassador, modeling Creation’s values and commitment to operational excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electronics, Manufacturing, or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, including 5+ years in engineering leadership.
- EMS experience strongly preferred;
Aerospace, Defense, and/or Medical manufacturing experience required for applicable sites. - Advanced subject matter expertise in at least one engineering discipline (Test, Process, or Manufacturing) with strong cross‑functional knowledge.
- Demonstrated success leading complex projects, managing budgets, and aligning engineering strategy with business outcomes.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO
9001, ISO
13485, ITAR, CGP, IPC, J-STD, and environmental standards. - Proven ability to build, mentor, and retain high‑performing teams.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence executives, customers, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act (as required for applicable sites).
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay range for this position is $150,000–$200,000 USD annually.
