Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for an Automation Engineer to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 761. This is a salaried-exempt position.

SummaryUnder the direction of the Director of Manufacturing Services, the Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for manufacturing processes, including but not limited to, robotics, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
- Work with cross‑functional teams to identify automation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Ensure that automation systems comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost‑benefit analysis to determine the viability of automation projects.
- Develop and maintain documentation for automation systems, including user manuals, technical specifications, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel on the use of automation systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation system issues and provide technical support as needed for both new and existing equipment.
- Stay up‑to‑date with the latest industry trends and advancements, including additive manufacturing, to ensure automation systems are current and relevant.
- Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to leverage their expertise and resources as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
