Hardware Development Engineer Level 3

Position Summary

Join our dynamic team in Milwaukee, WI, where you will play a crucial role in the development activities of cutting-edge products. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting designs, enhancing testability, generating test plans, conducting validation/compliance tests, and creating essential design/product documentation. You will report directly to the Engineering Team Lead, Hardware, and contribute to improving performance, functionality, cost optimization, test efficiency, manufacturability, and quality of our products.

• Engage in microprocessor/microcontroller system design.
• Design memory systems and circuits with FPGA/CPLD/PAL devices.
• Conduct Ethernet and USB design, testing, and certification.
• Work with digital and analog electronics, power supply, and I/O circuits.
• Utilize design tools for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Perform board-level and system-level design verification tests.
• Implement EMI noise reduction techniques and countermeasures for PCB layout.
• Test to EMC/EMI regulatory certifications.
• Conduct signal integrity measurements using network analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Perform product testing for environmental and certification test standards.
• Manage prototype builds from BOM creation to build change requests.
• Contribute to functional safety product development with IEC
  61508 standards.

Essentials:

• Bachelor s Degree in a relevant field.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (We do not sponsor employment visas for this position.)

Preferred:

• Typically requires 5 years of relevant experience in electronics product design.
• A strong passion for hardware engineering and a desire for continuous improvement.
• Experience with VHDL or Verilog.
