We areseekinga detail-oriented and technically skilled Structural Drafter to produce clear andaccuratetechnical drawings and plans based on engineering specifications and design inputs. The Drafter will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and fabricators to support the development and documentation of designs used in construction, manufacturing, and assembly.
Key Responsibilities- Develop structural layout drawings, framing plans, and general arrangement drawings using Tekla,Revitand AutoCAD.
- Translate engineering markups, sketches, and models into clean, code-compliant drawings for approvals and construction coordination.
- Ensure that all drawings follow Legacy Steel’s standards and align with applicable codes and project requirements.
- Coordinate with engineers and other stakeholders to incorporate revisions, resolve discrepancies, and ensure clarity in the design.
- Maintain organized drawing sets, file structures, and revision control.
- Support the design and documentation of steel platforms, stairs, catwalks, crossovers, and other structural steel assemblies.
- Associate’sdegree or technical certificate in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering Technology, ora related field.
- 1–3 years of experience drafting structural or architectural steel systems.
- Proficiency in Tekla and AutoCAD is required.(Experience with Revit and Navisworks is a plus.)
- Experience with programming and creating tools and components in Tekla is a plus.
- Solid understanding of structural steel elements, terminology, and construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, markups, and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
