Immediate opening in the Milwaukee area for an Electrical Estimator.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment, and subcontracted work.
- Review bid documents, plans, and specifications to fully understand project scope and requirements.
- Perform take-offs from electrical plans and specifications using Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar software.
- Ensure estimates comply with NEC and project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to clarify scope and costs.
- Review subcontractor bids and vendor quotes to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and supporting documentation using Bidtracer.
- Maintain estimating database to ensure up-to-date pricing information.
- Follow-up on estimates with customers in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain new and existing relationships with general contractors, developers and end users.
- Support continuous improvement in estimating procedures and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Committed to continuous improvement and open to adopting and utilizing AI technologies to drive smarter, more efficient solutions.
- 3-7 years of electrical estimating experience in commercial construction.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems and NEC requirements.
- Ability to work independently to produce accurate and competitive estimates.
- Proficiency with estimating software (Accubid) and plan review tools (Bluebeam).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Hands-on electrical field experience preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines.
