What You Will Do
- Support the standardization of MSA and SPC programs across multiple manufacturing plants.
- Assess, document, and improve measurement and statistical analysis systems to align with AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) standards.
- Develop and update documentation for MSA and SPC procedures.
- Collaborate with plant teams to understand current practices and conduct interviews/data collection.
- Identify gaps between current practices and AIAG requirements and propose solutions to close compliance gaps.
- Engage directly with cross‑functional teams in real‑world manufacturing environments.
- Conduct interviews and gather data from plant quality and engineering teams.
- Analyze existing documentation and processes, comparing them to AIAG standards.
- Get hands‑on experience on the shop floor by executing test methods for standardization.
- Document findings and recommendations and help implement process improvements.
- Present results and progress to engineering, quality, and operations leadership.
- Currently enrolled as a full‑time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills; familiarity with statistical tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Curious, detail‑oriented, and passionate about process optimization and quality assurance.
- Prior internship or project experience in manufacturing or quality preferred.
- Microsoft Excel and Minitab experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to be in the greater Milwaukee area in the summer.
- Duration:
Summer 2026. Up to 40 hours per week. Part‑time during the school year may be available. - Working arrangements:
Hybrid internship with a minimum of 3 days a week in office. Must have a quiet workspace away from interruptions if working remotely and maintain regular contact with the supervisor/team via virtual methods. - Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
