Robotics, Automation & Mechatronics Engineer
Our client is a fast-growing custom automation and robotics integrator building turnkey systems for manufacturing clients across multiple industries. We’re looking for a Robot Programmer with strong Fanuc and/or ABB robot programming experience and solid PLC integration skills to help design, build, and commission advanced robotic systems. If you enjoy solving complex automation challenges, working on custom projects (not repetitive production work), and seeing systems go from concept to commissioning — this role is for you.
WhatYou’ll Do
Program and commission Fanuc (TP/KAREL) and/or ABB (RAPID) robotic systems.
Develop robotic applications for:
- Welding
- Material handling
- Assembly
- Machine tending
- Vision-guided operations
Integrate robots with PLC systems (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs (ladder logic, structured text, function blocks)
Commission systems in-house and at customer sites
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls issues
Work closely with mechanical and electrical engineering teams
Support customers during installation and startup
Required- 3+ years of industrial robot programming experience
- Strong experience with Fanuc and/or ABB robots
- PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
- Experience integrating robots with:
Servo systems, Safety circuits, Vision systems, HMIs - Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Willingness to travel (approximately 20–30%)
- Experience in a custom automation or system integrator environment
- Robotic welding or vision system integration experience
- Familiarity with Ethernet/IP, Profinet, or industrial networks
- Experience with Robot Studio or Roboguide
- Work on unique, custom‑built automation systems
