Mechanical Design Engineer

Skill Requirement:

• 7-8 years of experience in Automotive domain (Construction & Mining Domain) with expertise in SOLIDWORKS

• Experience in working with cross functional and different cultural teams across the globe. Preferably should have worked in

Europe or USA as onsite co-coordinator and managed teams.

• Should have hands on experience in new product design and development of components made of Sheet Metal, machined,

castings, plastics

• Coordinating with offshore team for project assignments & Delivery planning, Concept Development, Problem solving

• Should understand manufacturing processes and material selection

• Must have experience of project planning, estimation & scheduling

• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical

feasibility

• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs in consultation with offshore ADM

• Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders

• Create and maintain project documentation

• Meet with customers to take detailed project briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• should have relevant experience in Sheet metal, weldment designs
• Expertise in SOLIDWORKS modelling and drafting practices.
• Ability to handle Large CAD Assembly and detailing/drafting the same
• Experience to handle engineering changes in product life cycle
• Exposure to work with standards like EN/DIN/ISO/ASME or other European/American standards
• knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• strong knowledge on Structural material properties and their performance
• Ability to work independently and can collaborate with cross functional teams to implement various improvement / changes /
• suggestions.
• Should apply practical design considerations and utilize technical knowledge to achieve design objectives relative to
• manufacturability, cost, quality, and durability.
