What You Will Contribute:

The Warranty Tech is responsible for incoming material processing of customer returns including the identification, storage, tracking, disposition and proper disposal when required. This position will also process material associated with credit memos and product failure analysis of customer returns including testing and/or repair and determination of warranty eligibility. In addition, this role will provide technical product support to customers, (external and internal;

including, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality) as related to field returns and complaints.

Job Duties:

Conduct physical reviews of products to ensure RMA written is accurate to product received, and determine/assign next steps/processes for returned product.

Analyze warranty and failure activities including tear down, testing, and documenting/reporting findings for returned product.

Handle material as required, in addition to auditing aging returned material for disposal and preparation of test and repair order material.

Verify physical location of returned product, verify material and credit memo accuracy, and prepare material for transport to required plants.

Test and calibrate meters.

Complete ERP program transactions.

Education and Experience:

High School Degree/GED required;
Associate's Degree in a Mechanical or Technical field preferred.
3+ years of experience in a m echanical or technical role desired.

Qualifications:

Good mechanical aptitude and customer support/contact required.

Ability to problem-solve and take corrective action after completing the root cause analysis required.

Basic PC and Microsoft Office suite skills required.
