Designer, Engineering Design & Technologists, Electrical Engineering

The following duties are typical of the position but are not all-encompassing. Each person is expected to help in whatever duties are required to deliver a quality product on schedule.

• Performs routine design tasks such as ductwork, pipe sizing, or electrical branch
  circuitry. Works on portions of projects under the direction of others.
• Is encouraged to try to solve engineering problems using experience, judgment, and
  education, but is expected to ask for assistance when needed.
• Input of data into pre-written computer programs
• Research equipment selection from catalogs under the direction of the
  Project/Designer/Engineer.
• May prepare the drawings of designs he/she has originated or from sketches provided
  by others.
• Maintain a neat and organized work area that allows efficient access to project
  information required by other team members.

Has authority to perform design duties, which are checked for accuracy by themselves & others.
Keeps the Project/Designer/Engineer aware of workload and requests work when needed.

Reports to the Project Designer/Engineer. Under the close supervision of the Project
Designer/Engineer. Will work with equipment suppliers to obtain equipment information.
