Electrical Engineering Team Lead - Wisconsin - (192057)
As part of HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group, you’ll help design the critical infrastructure that supports the digital age and shapes the spaces where people work, connect, and thrive. Your work will directly support technological advancement, sustainability, and human experience across a variety of building types.
Responsibilities- Assist the Electrical Business Class Lead with management and culture of the overall business class by supervising a team of electrical engineers, EITs and designers of varying experience.
- Work collaboratively with fellow Team Leads and the Electrical Business Class Lead for staffing and project proposals.
- Provide team leadership focused on technical excellence, quality, recruiting, mentoring, and staff development.
- Collaborate closely with electrical market sector leadership to ensure technical excellence in key markets including commercial, civic, industrial, federal, water, transportation, healthcare, education and laboratories.
- Act as design lead or engineering project manager for key projects.
- Implement, monitor, and support company policy.
- Work collaboratively with other team leads, business class lead, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts.
- Encourage and participate in work‑sharing and electrical practice development within a nation‑wide network of HDR Electrical Business Class.
- Assist the Electrical Business Class Lead in recruitment and growth of the business class.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering with an electrical emphasis.
- Experience in development and management of diverse teams.
- Preference given to local candidates.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 7 years experience.
- Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Good leadership and organizational skills.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must.
