Design Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled automotive component designer to work independently on conceptual design projects. The role involves creating concept models, detailed engineering drawings, and ensuring manufacturability.

• Work independently on design conceptual jobs.
• Create concept models using Creo-Part, Assembly, and surfacing tools.
• Design sheet metal and plastic parts.
• Develop GD&T and manufacturing drawings.
• Participate in phases of the design process: drafting, dimensioning, tolerancing, prototyping, ECN, PPAP, and documentation.
• Perform reverse engineering, stack‑up analysis, VAVE, and fixture/gauge design.

• Concept and detail design.
• Communication and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Creo (part, assembly, surfacing).
• Advanced knowledge of sheet‑metal and plastic design.
• Understanding of automotive design phases and production processes.

• Minimum 6–10 years of experience in automotive component design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Creo and GD&T.
• Knowledge of ECN, PPAP, and manufacturing documentation.

Base salary range: $80,000 – $100,000 per annum.
