Asbestos Supervisor

Wisconsin-Based | Midwest Projects | Travel Required

We’re looking for an experienced Asbestos Supervisor who thrives in the field and takes pride in running safe, compliant, and efficient abatement projects from start to finish.

This role is primarily based in Wisconsin, with projects across the Midwest and occasional travel beyond the region. If you’re a strong leader who can manage crews, maintain compliance, and keep projects on track, this is an opportunity to step into a key leadership role with real impact.

What You’ll Do

As an Asbestos Supervisor, you’ll take ownership of field operations and ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and professionally.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising asbestos abatement projects from mobilization through final completion
  • Leading crews in setup, containment, removal, decontamination, and cleanup
  • Ensuring strict compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulations
  • Coordinating with project managers, industrial hygienists, consultants, and clients
  • Reading and executing project specifications, work plans, and drawings
  • Maintaining daily reports, production tracking, and compliance documentation
  • Monitoring manpower, materials, equipment, and overall job progress
  • Identifying and resolving field challenges quickly and effectively
  • Enforcing PPE use, safety procedures, and proper work practices
  • Communicating field conditions that may impact scope, schedule, or cost
  • Training and mentoring crew members while promoting a culture of safety and accountability
What You Bring

We’re looking for a hands‑on leader with strong technical knowledge and the ability to run a jobsite with confidence.

Required:

  • Experience supervising asbestos abatement or environmental remediation projects
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and asbestos regulations
  • Experience with containment systems, decon units, waste handling, and removal procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret project specifications and environmental documentation
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest
Preferred Qualifications
  • Wisconsin Certified Asbestos Supervisor (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience with AHERA/school projects and occupied facilities
  • Familiarity with Wisconsin DHS/DNR regulations and notifications
  • Experience working with industrial hygiene and air monitoring firms
  • OSHA 30 Construction
  • 40‑hour HAZWOPER (with current refresher, if applicable)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This is an active, field‑based role. You should be comfortable working in a variety of conditions and environments.

  • Lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in variable site conditions
  • Wear respirators and PPE for extended periods
  • Work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to pass respirator fit testing and medical evaluations
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or shutdown schedules as needed
