Site Civil Engineer Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Site Civil Engineer to join our growing team in the Milwaukee area. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and execution of site development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to work on a variety of projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and taking ownership of design responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Develop and prepare design plans for a variety of site development projects, including site layout, grading and drainage, paving, and utility systems
Complete stormwater management design, calculations, and reports in accordance with local and state regulations
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and cross-functional project teams to ensure coordinated design efforts
Assist in developing construction specifications and contract documentation
Support permitting efforts by preparing materials and coordinating with agencies to obtain required approvals
Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with cost estimating as needed
Apply sound engineering judgment to evaluate and adapt design standards and methodologies
Contribute to key design decisions and project execution strategies
Provide additional support on engineering tasks and project-related activities as needed
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Previous experience in civil/site engineering design
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and manage project responsibilities
Preferred
4–6+ years of experience in civil/site design
Experience with:
AutoCAD & Civil 3D
Familiarity with local permitting processes and municipal standards
Strong understanding of grading, drainage, and utility design principles

This is a Permanent position based out of Milwaukee, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.00/hr.
