Work shift:
Mon-Fri, 8:00 – 4:30 (day shift)
This on‑site role provides manufacturing engineering support for the Electric Ave X‑Ray Tubes facility. The candidate will lead a variety of product quality projects, including product design changes, process development and stabilization, and new equipment design. Experience in process‑intensive manufacturing (e.g., brazing, casting, welding, measurement, machining, and test) or equipment design/controls engineering is preferred.
Screenings will be conducted on Teams first, followed by an on‑site visit for local candidates.
Responsibilities- Ensure early focus on manufacturability in product design and/or Advanced Technology programs.
- Drive rigor in process capability assessment, process layout, tooling and equipment development.
- Work with manufacturing to identify and resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment, and product design.
- Identify and deploy breakthrough technologies that can reduce lead time, improve quality, or reduce cost.
- Monitor and improve productivity using Lean, Six Sigma, Brilliant Factory, or related tools, while ensuring all customer commitments are met with quality product.
- Support AME initiatives with broad business impact and ensure best practice sharing across the Global Supply Chain.
- Ensure regulatory compliance through Qualification & Validation, including determining processes requiring validation, developing plans and analysis criteria, executing tests, and final analysis and acceptance.
B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Material Science.
Desired Characteristics- 6‑sigma DMAIC & DFSS certified.
- Experience in process‑intensive manufacturing, including machining, brazing, welding, cleaning, measurement, and test equipment.
- Experience developing engineering or manufacturing test equipment.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical and planning skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to all levels of the organization.
- Ability to identify and implement Best Practices.
- Product and Process Development experience.
- Solid working knowledge of Client quality management system.
- Experience developing tools and processes.
- Program or project management skills.
- Experience owning production processes while growing capability in yield and quality.
- Experience working with global teams.
- Aware of and comply with the Client Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
- Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
