Opportunity To Lead A Development Project
Opportunity to take the initiative on a development project and the freedom to establish your own blueprint. You will be designing, installing, and starting up a brand-new facility. The total budget for the project will be about $5MM.
The site is located within 30 minutes north of downtown Milwaukee, the largest city in Wisconsin. Along with the vibrant city, you’ll be right next to the waters of Lake Michigan, and about 90 minutes to Chicago.
About The CompanyFounded in 2010 as a resellers of chemicals, they have now ventured out into manufacturing their own specialty inorganic, organometallic compounds in house. These products support the semiconductor and industrial coatings industries. The company currently employs around 25 associates and will be expanding during and after the new site set up.
Job DescriptionThis 10-year-old chemical company is growing rapidly producing ultra-high PPB purity specialty chemicals many are sold to computer chips producers for etching and coating. These chemicals currently are produced at a bench scale level, this person will scale up these chemicals into a brand-new facility using closed loop reactors. Responsibilities include specifying process conditions, sizing and specifying reactors, piping, and controls, developing P&’s, contacting vendors, overseeing installation, and writing SOP’s.
This is just the beginning of new products that will be developed and become operational at a full-scale level. This person will evaluate new R&D proposals for current and future manufacturing upscale.
- B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
- 8+ years of experience in scale up of high purity specialty chemicals ideally electronic etching chemicals or API pharmaceuticals from bench to pilot or full scale production. Must-have experience in specifying process conditions, P&'s, specifying process equipment (ideally reactors) and installing new equipment.
- Major pluses would be chemical processes that are highly reactive in ambient air.
