Our client, a globally recognized leader in the design and manufacturer of automation-related industrial drives, is seeking an Engineering Technician, Level 3, to join their team. As an Engineering Tech, you will be part of the Production Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing. The job is located near downtown Milwaukee, WI. Candidates must be from the Milwaukee area and the role will begin as a contract status role.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. Strong experience working with circuit boards is extremely important; any experience with UL and EMC testing is a distinct advantage.

Location: Milwaukee, WI
Pay: $28-32/hr. plus OT, benefits
Key Responsibilities- Use of manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment
- Experience with UL and EMC testing is preferred
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions
- Use of layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functions
- Assists in the design, construction, test and check‑out of test equipment
- Experience working with circuit boards is extremely important
- Likely to do soldering and reworking of boards. IPC-610 certification a plus
- Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to thermocouples, Thermochanbers, and an ESD gun
- Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment resolving issues
- Normally receives little instruction on daily work
