About the Role
My client is a well established engineering and consulting firm providing geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and environmental services across the Midwest. Known for delivering high quality technical solutions to both public and private sector clients, the company partners with municipalities, transportation agencies, developers, architects, and industrial organisations on a diverse range of projects. They are currently seeking an experienced Geotechnical Project Manager to join their Wisconsin based team.
This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious geotechnical professional who is interested in progressing into a Lead Geotechnical Engineer position. The role offers a blend of technical leadership, project management, business development, and mentorship, while working on a variety of infrastructure and development projects throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and the broader Great Lakes region.
- Manage geotechnical investigations for a variety of public and private sector projects, ensuring high standards of technical quality and client service.
- Review geotechnical field and laboratory data, ensuring compliance with quality expectations and project requirements.
- Oversee projects throughout the full project life cycle, including proposal development, field investigations, analysis, reporting, and construction-phase support.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development and proposal preparation efforts.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical oversight to junior engineers and project staff.
- Collaborate with department leadership to support company growth initiatives and departmental objectives.
- Provide geotechnical support during both design and construction phases of projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licence required with the ability to obtain PE licensure in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan.
- Minimum of 10 years of geotechnical engineering experience with at least 5 years of direct geotechnical project management experience.
- Strong experience with geotechnical investigations, soil sampling, subsurface exploration, and geotechnical analysis.
- Proven track record managing projects, budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
- Knowledge of construction materials testing, including concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.

What You Can Expect- Salary range: $100,000 - $130,000, based on experience and qualifications.
