Senior Electrical & Controls Engineer
A growing industrial manufacturer in the Greater Milwaukee area is looking for a Senior Electrical & Controls Engineer to take ownership of the electrical and controls side of a customized material handling product line used in warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and automated environments across North America. This is a highly visible engineering role inside a collaborative, team-oriented environment where you'll have direct influence over:
- Electrical systems
- PLC programming
- Controls architecture
- Product improvements
- Future technology direction

You'll work across both hardware and software while helping drive modernization efforts tied to automation, smarter controls platforms, plug-and-play systems, and future connected technologies. What You'll Be Doing:
- Own the electrical and controls side of a customized industrial equipment product line
- Modify and develop electrical schematics and controls systems
- Program and troubleshoot PLC/HMI systems
- Support migration to newer controls platforms and technologies
- Work closely with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, installers, and technical support teams
- Support integration projects tied to conveyors, automation systems, and large-scale distribution environments
- Help troubleshoot escalated field or installation-related electrical issues
- Participate in new product development and future platform improvements
- Collaborate with third-party panel suppliers and controls partners

What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of electrical and/or controls engineering experience
- Experience with PLC programming and industrial controls systems
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting
- Ability to work across both hardware and software aspects of controls engineering
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, collaborative engineering environment

- Material handling, conveyor, automation, or lift systems
