Senior Electrical & Controls Engineer

A growing industrial manufacturer in the Greater Milwaukee area is looking for a Senior Electrical & Controls Engineer to take ownership of the electrical and controls side of a customized material handling product line used in warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and automated environments across North America. This is a highly visible engineering role inside a collaborative, team-oriented environment where you'll have direct influence over:

• Electrical systems
• PLC programming
• Controls architecture
• Product improvements
• Future technology direction

You'll work across both hardware and software while helping drive modernization efforts tied to automation, smarter controls platforms, plug-and-play systems, and future connected technologies. What You'll Be Doing:

• Own the electrical and controls side of a customized industrial equipment product line
• Modify and develop electrical schematics and controls systems
• Program and troubleshoot PLC/HMI systems
• Support migration to newer controls platforms and technologies
• Work closely with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, installers, and technical support teams
• Support integration projects tied to conveyors, automation systems, and large-scale distribution environments
• Help troubleshoot escalated field or installation-related electrical issues
• Participate in new product development and future platform improvements
• Collaborate with third-party panel suppliers and controls partners

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of electrical and/or controls engineering experience
• Experience with PLC programming and industrial controls systems
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting
• Ability to work across both hardware and software aspects of controls engineering
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, collaborative engineering environment
