Job Overview
The Wisconsin Construction Project Leader will oversee a wide variety of highway, bridge, and municipal projects for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and local clients. They will provide strategic planning and delivery on key project needs and initiatives.
The Leader will directly manage projects and team members, ensuring quality, schedules, and budgets align with AECOM and client policy. They will also hire, mentor, and expand the team’s experience, client base, and range, acting as a liaison between management and clients on multi‑disciplined projects.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver proposals required to win the work.
- Recognize opportunities for strategic growth and build and lead teams to meet these opportunities.
- Collaborate and build relationships with internal and external clients, industry associations, and other consultant teams.
- Bachelor's degree plus six years of related experience or documented equivalency of education and experience.
- US citizenship is required.
- Valid DMV license.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or equivalent.
- Must pass a pre‑employment substance abuse test and a pre‑employment motor vehicle record screening.
- Past experience as a Construction Project Leader for WisDOT projects.
- Registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin.
- WisDOT and local project and client management experience, with a proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects.
Compensation for this position is $85,000 to $158,000 per year, based on education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
