Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for automotive mechatronic systems using Creo CAD
. - Create and modify 3D models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Design packaging solutions for electronic control units (ECUs), HMI modules, sensors, switches, and other mechatronic products.
- Integrate PCBA into mechanical housings while ensuring thermal management, structural integrity, and manufacturability.
- Develop designs that comply with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) best practices.
- Collaborate with electrical, hardware, and PCB design teams to optimize mechanical and electronic integration.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and packaging studies.
- Participate in prototype builds, design verification, and product validation activities.
- Work closely with manufacturing and suppliers to resolve design and production issues.
- Support engineering change requests (ECRs) and engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards and customer requirements.
- Review designs for cost optimization, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical or mechatronics product design within the automotive industry.
- Strong proficiency in Creo Parametric for 3D modeling and detailed design.
- Experience with PCBA packaging and electromechanical integration.
- Knowledge of Human Machine Interface (HMI) product design, including displays, switches, touch interfaces, or control modules.
- Solid understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis.
- Knowledge of automotive product development processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
