Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for automotive mechatronic systems using Creo CAD
    .
  • Create and modify 3D models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Design packaging solutions for electronic control units (ECUs), HMI modules, sensors, switches, and other mechatronic products.
  • Integrate PCBA into mechanical housings while ensuring thermal management, structural integrity, and manufacturability.
  • Develop designs that comply with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) best practices.
  • Collaborate with electrical, hardware, and PCB design teams to optimize mechanical and electronic integration.
  • Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and packaging studies.
  • Participate in prototype builds, design verification, and product validation activities.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and suppliers to resolve design and production issues.
  • Support engineering change requests (ECRs) and engineering change orders (ECOs).
  • Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Review designs for cost optimization, reliability, and manufacturability.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical or mechatronics product design within the automotive industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Creo Parametric for 3D modeling and detailed design.
  • Experience with PCBA packaging and electromechanical integration.
  • Knowledge of Human Machine Interface (HMI) product design, including displays, switches, touch interfaces, or control modules.
  • Solid understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
  • Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis.
  • Knowledge of automotive product development processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
