Project Engineer / Program Launch Engineer

I'm partnering with a local manufacturing company that is looking for a Project Engineer / Program Launch Engineer to support customer programs, new product launches, quoting, tooling coordination, and manufacturing improvement initiatives.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, engineering, quality, tooling, and production teams to move projects from concept through launch.

In this role, you'll manage assigned customer accounts, support quotes for new and existing parts, coordinate technical reviews of customer designs, help lead new product launches, and support resolution of quality or delivery concerns.

What You'll Do
  • Support customer programs from quote through launch
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Provide engineering and program launch support
  • Coordinate tooling, fixtures, dies, gages, and related manufacturing needs
  • Lead APQP activities for new customer programs
  • Prepare quotes including costs and lead times for tooling and manufactured parts
  • Support productivity, cost‑down, quality, and delivery improvement initiatives
  • Work cross‑functionally with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and customer teams
What We’re Looking For
  • 2‑ or 4‑year engineering or related technical degree preferred
  • Experienced Tool & Die Maker or strong relevant manufacturing background may also be considered
  • Experience leading teams or projects in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret customer drawings, GD&T, specifications, and 3D models
  • Strong understanding of tooling, fixtures, dies, gages, and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work with measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, test sets, and gaging equipment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
Ideal Background

This role could be a strong fit for someone with experience as a:

  • Manufacturing Engineer
  • Program Launch Engineer
  • Technical Program Manager
  • Tool & Die professional who transitioned into engineering/project work

If you enjoy customer‑facing technical work, manufacturing launches, tooling coordination, and solving problems between engineering and production, I’d love to talk.
