This position supports projects and programs that are part of WEC Energy Group’s multi‑billion dollar electric generation capital investment plan, powering economic growth and providing energy reliability in Wisconsin. One Analyst focuses on PG Plant Projects, the other on Major Projects.
This job family includes Associate Project Controls Analyst, Project Controls Analyst, and Senior Project Controls Analyst, with experience determining level.

Job SummaryThe Project Controls Analyst is responsible for cost and/or schedule management of moderate‑scope projects and supporting field and department staff. Responsibilities include performing analysis and developing recommendations for schedule and cost performance, creating complex project schedules, preparing cost reports, analyzing data, and producing ad‑hoc reporting for project management.

- Develop and maintain resource‑loaded project schedules; identify mitigating actions; analyze schedule performance; participate in discussions and recommend decisions.
- Analyze cost reports; discuss cost performance with stakeholders; prepare forecasts for multiple projects; identify mitigating actions; participate in discussions and recommend decisions.
- Associate Project Controls Analyst
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related field preferred; 2 years of relevant project experience is considered in lieu.
- Project Controls Analyst
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related field preferred; 4 years of relevant project experience considered in lieu.
- 2+ years relevant project controls experience.
- 2+ years experience with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat; preferred experience with Power Plan, People Soft, SAP, Primavera P6, and/or Microsoft Access.
- 2+ years of demonstrated leadership experience by leading projects or teams.
- Senior Project Controls Analyst
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related field preferred; 7 years of relevant project experience considered in lieu.
- 5+ years relevant project controls experience.
- 5+ years experience with Microsoft products and Adobe Acrobat; preferred experience with Power Plan, People Soft, SAP, Primavera P6, and/or Microsoft Access.
- 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience by leading projects or teams.
