Power Electronics Engineer
Design and develop next-generation power electronics for solar, energy storage, EV charging, and test applications using SiC and GaN MOSFETs.
Develop high-frequency bidirectional DC-DC converters, AC-DC grid-tie inverters, and resonant converters.
Lead product development from initial concept through detailed design, validation, and productization.
Create and implement innovative digital control algorithms for power converter systems.
Design and develop advanced magnetics, including high-frequency inductors and transformers.
Collaborate closely with PCB layout designers to implement high-density, high-voltage power designs.
Work closely with mechanical designers on product design elements such as sheet metal, heatsinks, bus bars, and overall packaging.
Ensure products achieve UL and CE compliance by leading design activities aligned with relevant standards.
Lead EMC compliance activities, including filter design, testing, and resolution of EMC issues.
Apply strong understanding of high-frequency power stages, filtering, circuit protection, thermal management, and EMI/EMC considerations to all designs.
Use Matlab, Simulink, and Sim Power Systems to model, simulate, and optimize power converter performance.
This is a Permanent position based out of Milwaukee, WI.
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $160000.00/yr. Full benefits- health, dental, vision, 401K.
This is a fully onsite position in Milwaukee, WI.
