Power Electronics Engineer

Responsibilities

+ Design and develop next-generation power electronics for solar, energy storage, EV charging, and test applications using SiC and GaN MOSFETs.

+ Develop high-frequency bidirectional DC-DC converters, AC-DC grid-tie inverters, and resonant converters.

+ Lead product development from initial concept through detailed design, validation, and productization.

+ Create and implement innovative digital control algorithms for power converter systems.

+ Design and develop advanced magnetics, including high-frequency inductors and transformers.

+ Collaborate closely with PCB layout designers to implement high-density, high-voltage power designs.

+ Work closely with mechanical designers on product design elements such as sheet metal, heatsinks, bus bars, and overall packaging.

+ Ensure products achieve UL and CE compliance by leading design activities aligned with relevant standards.

+ Lead EMC compliance activities, including filter design, testing, and resolution of EMC issues.

+ Apply strong understanding of high-frequency power stages, filtering, circuit protection, thermal management, and EMI/EMC considerations to all designs.

+ Use Matlab, Simulink, and Sim Power Systems to model, simulate, and optimize power converter performance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
