As a Project Manager
- Cap Ex, you will lead capital investment projects across Novonesis sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in alignment with business needs. This role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact while collaborating with diverse teams in a global environment.
As a Project Manager – Cap Ex, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing Cap Ex projects ranging from approximately €500K to €15M. The role combines strategic, tactical, and operational responsibilities, requiring strong stakeholder management, technical expertise, and leadership across multidisciplinary project teams.
YourKey Responsibilities In This Role
- Lead capital projects and work packages from concept through design, procurement, construction, start-up, and handover.
- Align project scope with Operations, technical experts, global stakeholders, and business partners to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, risks, contracts, and change controls to ensure successful delivery.
- Drive a strong safety culture and oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and lead internal teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers while creating accountability across the project organization.
- Facilitate project governance activities, including steering committee meetings, status reporting, and stakeholder communication.
- Apply project management standards, risk management methodologies, and best practices across project execution.
- Ensure complete and accurate project documentation, including engineering, maintenance, regulatory, and as-built records at project handover.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to project reviews across the EFS organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience, preferably within manufacturing, process industries, food, biotech, pharmaceutical, chemical, or similar environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing capital investment projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
- Strong understanding of engineering disciplines and construction project execution.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across local and global organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and the local language, where applicable.
- Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to lead through influence and create alignment among diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of project governance, procurement processes, and contractor management.

While not required, the following qualifications would be considered an advantage:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
- Experience with FIDIC or similar contract frameworks.
- Experience supporting large-scale international projects.
- Knowledge of advanced manufacturing, utility, infrastructure, or process equipment projects.
- Change management experience in complex organizational environments.
- Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
