Senior Mechanical Engineer

Established multi-disciplined consulting firm is looking to add a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to their Milwaukee, Wisconsin team!

Responsibilities include:

primary engineering contact for architectural K-12 and public-sector projects, collaborating with other disciplines to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into building designs, coordinating with utilities, permitting agencies, and code authorities to secure timely approvals, participating in public and board meetings as needed for school and municipal projects, mentoring/training junior staff, leading mechanical system design for a variety of building types (HVAC systems, ventilation and energy recovery systems, building automation and controls integration), design of domestic water, sanitary, and storm plumbing systems, conducting load calculations, equipment sizing, pressure loss analysis, and energy modeling, developing detailed construction drawings and specifications using Revit, AutoCAD, and other design tools, stamping and certifying mechanical construction documents in support of permit submittals and construction, reviewing designs, responding to RFIs, and supporting construction-phase services, providing accurate cost estimates and support scope development for new projects/proposals, ensuring QA/QC procedures are followed.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, 8+ years of experience in mechanical building systems design, PE License, experience with K-12 and/or municipal building projects preferred, LEED AP, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or related credentials preferred, working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (IECC, IBC, ASHRAE 90.1, 62.1, and plumbing codes), proficient with Revit, Bluebeam, and mechanical system modeling/selections tools. Salary is commensurate with experience.
