Mechanical Design Engineer

A growing medical technology design and manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer II to support several new product development programs, including advanced robotic and electromechanical medical technologies.

This is a high-ownership, hands-on engineering role for someone with strong PTC Creo expertise who can independently drive mechanical design work from concept through manufacturing transfer.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical CAD design from concept through release
• Develop complex parts, assemblies, and engineering drawings using PTC Creo
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and apply GD&T principles
• Lead DFMEA activities for new product designs
• Build, assemble, and test prototypes
• Support design iterations based on testing and engineering analysis
• Drive new product introduction and transfer into manufacturing
• Collaborate directly with customers, suppliers, and internal engineering teams
• Communicate design decisions, technical tradeoffs, and project requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of mechanical design engineering experience
• Strong proficiency with PTC Creo
• Experience creating and interpreting complex engineering drawings
• Strong understanding of tolerance stack-up analysis
• Experience taking mechanical designs from concept through production
• Strong technical communication and problem-solving skills

• Robotic or complex electromechanical system experience
