This important role provides technical leadership within a team environment to design and develop requirements driven functionally safe electronic circuits as part of the Battery Management System (BMS) that goes into Clarios' new generation of lithium-ion batteries.
The electronic BMS is critical to the performance and safety of the battery. As a member of this team, you will be exposed to the latest in BMS technology and contribute to developing "best-in-class" electronic battery controls.
The Electronics Functional Safety Engineer will:
- Execute the detailed technical aspects of FuSa analysis, requirements, design and verification & validation (V&V)
- Execute safety analyses (Quantified Fault-Tree, FMEA, Common-mode analysis, reliability analysis)
- Define electronic hardware requirements and specifications
- Define electronic hardware V&V plans and methods
- Implementation of hardware safety design best practices
- Develop Functional Safety aspects of the hardware DVP&R (System V&V)
- Support verification (Peer) reviews of design, analysis and V&V prepare reports
