Role

Description:

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site position based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for leading mechanical design activities and associated responsibilities, including:

  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical design utilizing CREO and Windchill PLM.
  • Strong knowledge of sustenance engineering practices.
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, brazing, welding, sheet metal forming, and related operations.
  • Proficiency in plastic component design and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with assembly and part tolerancing, including GD&T.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with manufacturing and service teams to support the successful transition of products into production.
  • Proven experience coordinating activities across onsite and offshore teams.
  • Candidates should possess expertise in Machine Design and Mechanical Engineering to ensure robust, reliable, and manufacturable mechanical solutions.
  • Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to manage multiple design tasks and deadlines.
  • Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with industrial or manufacturing equipment, design for manufacturability (DFM), and familiarity with relevant industry regulations is beneficial.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field is preferred, along with 8+ years of relevant mechanical design experience.
