Role Description

The Project Geoscientist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Milwaukee area. This role involves planning and executing subsurface investigations, including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling, interpreting geologic data to support environmental assessments and remedial designs. The Project Geoscientist will prepare technical reports, figures, and cross‑sections, contribute to remedial strategy development, and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and environmental teams.

Daily responsibilities include data analysis, coordination with project managers, report preparation, and communication with clients and regulatory agencies. The role also supports project planning, scheduling, and quality assurance to ensure technically sound, compliant, and cost‑effective solutions.

Qualifications
  • Solid foundation in geology/hydrogeology to analyze subsurface conditions and support environmental and engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of Geochemistry to evaluate groundwater and soil chemistry, contaminant behavior, and remedial options.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geoscience, Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Experience with field investigations, sampling protocols, and use of standard geologic and environmental equipment.
  • Strong technical report writing skills.
  • Understanding of environmental regulatory program including USEPA and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources ( and  series).
  • Ability to work safely on-site, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
  • Professional licensure or eligibility (e.g., PG or PE) and prior consulting or environmental engineering experience are beneficial.
